What to expect
An example that I like to give is cleaning out a fish tank and replacing the water.
The process is messy at first as you begin cleaning the sides of the glass. The water becomes quite murky in the process of clearing away the debris. Then fresh water can be added to a not so toxic environment; later, this settles down, bringing the system to a more balanced condition.
Early Chi Nei Tsang sessions can involve a level of detoxification of the organs. Emotional debris may become apparent as well. Like any detoxification or cleaning process there is a recovery period, a period of recuperation involving readjustment to a new operating norm.
Revealing is healing and it can be quite revealing how much can be so well hidden from our own awareness. The process of this internal cleansing is much more than physical. It has the ability to effect long-term, long-held attitudes and to change the entire outlook and disposition. A cleaner clearer fish tank to swim in is a benefit from the process of changing the water.
